Otto House Inn is a classic Victorian home filled with original restored woodwork and architectural charm. Over the years, the house has been a gathering place for family, friends, and visitors, creating an atmosphere that feels authentic, warm, and welcoming.

From the 1930's - 1950's, the home served as overflow lodging for the nearby Lalonde's Inn. Because of this, each bedroom was designed with its own sink — a unique historic detail that remains functional today and reflects the home's long tradition of hosting travelers.

Commander LJ Otto, served on the USCG Icebreaker Mackinaw and purchased the home in 1968. Along with his wife Elizabeth, they raised 9 children in the home. For many years the home welcomed locals and visitors alike for festive Christmas parties which were the talk of the town.

Today, the house continues these fine tradition, offering guests a comfortable place to relax and enjoy the four seasons charm of Cheboygan.

Located just up Huron Street from the historic Cheboygan Opera House, Otto House Inn has become a welcoming place for musicians and travelers alike. Most of the professional artists performing at the Opera House stay here while visiting the area.
