Cheboygan, Michigan · Est. 1895
A historic Victorian home in the heart of Cheboygan — restored with care, open to guests, and still very much the kind of place where people linger.
The House · Built 1895
Built in 1895, Otto House has stood at the center of Cheboygan life for over a century. It has been home to families, a gathering place for the community, and a resting place for travelers passing through Northern Michigan.
Today it opens its doors as a boutique inn — restored and cared for, with the warmth and character of the original house still very much intact. Staying here feels different from a hotel. That's the point.

Your Stay
Each room at Otto House is thoughtfully appointed — fresh linens, comfortable beds, period character balanced with modern amenities. Whether you're booking a single room or taking the whole house, the experience is the same: genuine care and a place that feels like it was meant for you.
The full-house rental sleeps larger groups and is ideal for family gatherings, small retreats, or a group of friends exploring Northern Michigan together.
Character & Culture
Over the years, Otto House has quietly become a resting place for musicians, artists, and performers passing through Cheboygan. That history isn't on display — it's just part of the feeling of the place.
The walls carry rotating artwork from local Cheboygan-area artists, chosen not as decoration but as a living record of the creative community this house has always been part of. Every stay adds to that story.

Location
Cheboygan sits at the edge of the inland waterway, an hour from Petoskey, fifteen minutes from the Mackinac Island ferry. It's a quieter base than the tourist hubs — and a better one.
